Liz Paice is a retired teacher living in London with her husband. She was born in Malta, the daughter of an RAF officer and a state registered nurse. As a child she lived in many places including Cyprus, South Wales and various parts of England. She studied Geography at University College London followed by teacher training at Jesus College Oxford.

Five words that sum up her personality are: capable, organised, thorough, optimistic and strong. She is passionate about the natural world and the environment including landscapes, fauna and fauna, and ecosystems. Her hobbies and pastimes include reading, travelling, the theatre and cinema, gardening, and writing. She is learning Spanish.

Liz’s novels blend romance and adventure with an environmental theme. In her novel The Luminosity Prize she tackles the divisive issue of badger culling in the UK.
